My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our battlefield tour with Joris. I admit my husband is a WWII enthusiast, not me. But Joris showed a thorough knowledge of Operation Market Garden, and I was drawn in as well by his enthusiasm and passion for the subject. He brought each site to life with an armload of primary source material, photos, maps, and audio recordings providing context. I could stand on the street corner, visualize their goals, and see how the mission failed. We highly recommend this tour.

Joris is an excellent guide . He provides a strategic context to the Arnhem campaign which explains most of what went wrong and why. He backs this up with very good audio visual aids -maps , photos and old newsreel clips on his ipad . He was a very thorough operator who took us every step along the way from Son to Arnhem and covered the campaign with the right amount of detail. He was very friendly and personable and i enjoyed talking to him. Net i thoroughly recommend him for a good tour of the Arnhem campaign.

As a touring military sports team, we were very much interested in learning more and understanding the unique events that unfolded in Arnhem, 1944. Joris, our tour guide and owner of 'The Battlefield Explorer Tours', did not disappoint. He provided a fantastic Battlefield Study covering the battle for Arnhem; from DZ landing through to British withdrawal/capture. His ability to cater for and mould his delivery to his audience was over and above any previous Battlefield Study's I have attended. Being an Artillery unit, the nuances and focus he brought to that area of the battle was fantastic and very much appreciated. I would jump at the chance to attend another Battlefield Explorer Tour in the future. Further, I would recommend any group leader or organizing manager to book in with Joris when looking for this kind of activity!

We had an incredible Bastogne battlefield tour with Joris as our guide. He is an engaging storyteller, and we particularly enjoyed visiting Foy and seeing real pictures from the exact locations we were standing. The tour was an in-depth walk through the Battle of the Bulge, packed with fascinating facts and stories. We had so much fun that we even enjoyed a few pints together afterwards!
