Andy Kutler’s latest book, The Fight of Their Lives

I’m pleased to share that I’ve been mentioned in Andy Kutler’s new book, The Fight of Their Lives. Andy is known for careful research and engaging storytelling. He joined me for a battlefield tour while researching this World War II narrative.

Our time on the battlefields went beyond historical facts. It was about experiencing the terrain, understanding soldiers’ perspectives, and capturing the emotion of the battles. Andy skillfully weaves these stories into his narrative, and I’m glad to have contributed.

The Fight of Their Lives explores human experiences during wartime, making it great reading for World War II enthusiasts. Seeing my insights acknowledged in Andy’s work is rewarding.

I recommend picking up a copy to discover the stories Andy uncovered. Perhaps you’ll even retrace those footsteps with me on a tour!

By Joris

My name is Joris Nieuwint and please let me be your tour guide! As a local who has lived in the Operation Market Garden area for most of my life, this battle is now part of my DNA, and I have been studying it for almost 30 years. Since 2012 I have been active as a Battlefield Guide and over the years I’ve have taken many individuals, small and large groups, relatives of veterans, school groups, and military groups and staff rides on tours all through Europe. What began with guiding in the Operation Market Garden area has since expanded to include the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge and more.
