This privacy statement explains how The Battlefield Explorer (sole proprietorship, Veghel, the Netherlands) handles personal data when you visit this website or contact us. We process as little personal data as possible: this website sets no cookies, uses cookieless visitor statistics, and has no user accounts.
1. What we process, and why
1.1 Visiting the website
Browsing this website requires no personal data. Our visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) are cookieless and cannot identify you. The website is served by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse; this data is not used by us to identify visitors.
1.2 Contacting us
When you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or the contact form, we receive the details you choose to share, typically your name, contact details and your message. We use these solely to respond to you and to prepare or conduct your tour. Legal basis: performance of a contract or steps prior to entering one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Retention: correspondence is kept up to 2 years after our last contact, unless a booking follows (see 1.3).
1.3 Booking a tour
Bookings and payments are handled by our booking platform, G-3 Booking, which processes your name, contact details and payment information for that purpose. Details, including the third parties involved (Stripe for payments, transactional email), are described in the G-3 Booking privacy policy.
Retention: booking records up to 2 years after the tour date; payment and invoice records 7 years (Dutch tax law).
2. What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal data, we do not use it for advertising, we do not profile visitors, and we do not send marketing emails.
3. Sharing
We only share personal data with service providers necessary to run the business (the booking platform described above), or where the law requires it.
4. Security
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). The website itself stores no visitor data; booking data is stored by G-3 Booking on EU infrastructure.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below; please state clearly who you are so we do not modify or delete data of the wrong person. We respond within 30 days.
6. Complaints
If you believe we handle your personal data improperly, we would like to hear from you first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
